One Last (Greek) Wine Closeout: Boutari Naoussa!!

This one snuck in under my radar initially, but we snagged a couple of cases at the last minute. It was supposed to be three cases, but one came in as the 2009 vintage….uh, no thanks. That’s the risk you make though when closeout shopping!

The 2016, however, should still be drinking just fine! And it’s got press! This wine is made from the classic Greek Xinomavro (ksee-NO-mavro) grape, and is a great introduction to Greek reds!

2016 Noussa Boutari-Lean, structured, and spicy, this is a great deal on a lesser-known Old-World red! And check out this press!!

“Boutari’s basic Naoussa is a bargain in 2016, a vintage that started off hot and fast but mellowed by September. It’s lean and elegant, with tangy, spicy plum-skin flavors and notes of fresh earth adding breadth. The tannins feel long and buffed, firm enough to allow this to age well for another five to ten years in the cellar, but fine enough to enjoy the wine now, with roast leg of lamb.” 93pts Wine & Spirits

Regularly $24.99, on closeout for $8.99!!

We’ve only got two cases! Find this wine on our Dan’s Crazy Closeouts endcap across from the Wine and Spirits register!

Cheers,

Dan
