Tequila Cazadores Dinner Recap

Thank you all so much for coming out last night to join us for a very special presentation from Tequila Cazadores’ North American Brand Ambassador Alan Ruesga-Pelayo! It was a really special night, getting to hear him talk about his brand, his beloved Jalisco, and tequila in general, especially as it pertains to the American market. Hint: it’s growing, and it’s growing in a big way!

We owe a special thank-you to the team from Southern Glazer’s who showed up early (and in force!), helped us decorate, and were there to make sure everything ran smoothly…they brought an awesome level of fit-and-finish to the event that really impressed. I (personally) owe a huge debt of gratitude to my Assistant Manager Bethany and my main man Drew for helping bring my menu to life last night…we could not have pulled this off without you. Here’s a little taste of what we served up.

Gallo Pinto: Authentic Costa Rican Rice and Beans
Tostada: Slow-cooked marinated pork tenderloin, refried beans, onion, cilantro, cheese
Chicken Mole Enchiladas: Corn tortilla, onion, Cotija, cilantro, crema
Tres Leches Cake: Coconut cream, toasted coconut

We owe a huge thank you to Alan Ruesga-Pelayo not only for his enthusiasm, his passion, and his wealth of knowledge, but also simply for showing up. It’s not often we get major brand ambassadors here in the center of the state, and it was an amazing opportunity to learn about tequila from someone who knows it so well!

Tequila is cool, y’all!

The Flight: Blanco, Reposado, Anejo, Anejo Cristalino
Alan’s Welcome Cocktail for Us: Classic Paloma, with Tajin rim!

But most of all, I want to thank those of you who came out for this event. We love doing stuff like this, but it’s only possible if people show up 🙂 Please look for more tastings/events like this in the future! Currently in the early planning stages, we’re looking at an Italian wine dinner, a (really special) Burgundy dinner (one of the wines we’ll be tasting is one of only five cases to make it to the US!!), and a dessert wine/Port mini-event. Stay tuned, and thank you so much for all the amazing support you’ve showed us here at Rockbridge Hy-Vee! To those who came out, thank you so much, and we hope to see you again next time!

Cheers,

Dan
