I just want to give a huge shout-out to Brad Martens (especially) and the folks at Whiskey University (in general) for putting on an awesome event for us last night. In their “Bourbon: 201” course, we tasted through a flight of 9 different bourbons, from Jim Beam White Label to Blanton’s and learned some really cool history and trivia behind some of American bourbon’s most storied brands.

There was food (catering hooked us up with some tasty sandwich and cheese platters, and I made my grandma’s sweet-n-spicy bourbon meatballs and dessert bourbon balls (some of y’all even asked for the recipe!), whiskey, and a lot of fun had by all. One of my favorite parts of the evening was seeing people discover (affordable!) brands that they’d never given much thought to before, and loving them! Ex: I think I sold more Evan Williams 1783 last night than I have in the past two months!!

The folks at Whiskey University are awesome, Brad is amazing, and we’re definitely going to be doing more of these events here in the near future (we’d like to do one every month or so, so watch this space for more info!).

A huge, huge thank-you to everyone who came out last night to support us, bought bottles (at special sale pricing!), and entered the raffle for a handful of allocated bottles. We couldn’t do this without y’all, and are so grateful for your support!

There will be more to come, and we hope to see you there!
Cheers,
Dan
